Back to the Grind

A great trip to RRR. Computers stayed up the whole time. Didn't get to shoot as much as I would've liked but still glad I took along the camera.

RRR 2010

Getting ready for this year's version of the Red Rock Rendezvous. Clothes are packed. Computers are packed and this year I am going to take my camera along. Hoping to get an opportunity to do a bit of photography, we'll see what happens.

Looking forward to a great year with lots of shooting opportunities. Went over to Coeur d'Alene the weekend after Christmas and took some photos of bald eagles there. Need to work with the RAW files to bring out the detail as it was foggy with flat light.

Also am now the proud owner of a Tokina 12-24 f/4. This will cover me on the wide end of things.

Next lens that I'm actively shopping for is something in the 24-70 f/2.8 realm. Sigma makes one that is supposed to be very good, Tamron and Tokina both have offerings as well at slightly different focal lengths. Would love to have all Nikon glass but until I start to make some $$$ from this hobby that isn't going to happen.
